About me
Hey, Andie here. (Andrea if you prefer things a bit more formal.)
As you’ve probably read already, I’m a 40-something wife and mum of 2. I grew up and still live in my beloved Dorset, England.
I have always been creative. I love Art & Design in all its splendor, from fashion design to Architecture. Interior design to landscape design. Sculpture to Photography. I also love Music (quite an eclectic taste,) the theatre and history. Give me a daily dose of culture and I’m one happy gal.
After leaving school at 16, attending art college was undeniably my next step in education. I studied Fashion Design for 2 years which I loved. So much so that when I graduated, I stayed on for a further year and studied Fine Art where I was able to experiment with countless mediums and attend fascinating lectures and seminars. I finally graduated college in 2000 and was granted a place at Southampton Arts Institute in Hampshire, England. As the silly teenager I was, I declined the offer and pursued a career in…… wait for it…… Administration! I decided at the time to start earning my own money. This has been a huge regret of mine but in hindsight, I wasn’t mature enough or focused to continue my artistic direction.
Fast Forward a few years, I met my now husband, started a family and together we decided I’d be a stay at home mum which has been a privilege. I know I am very lucky to have been able to do this. Now the children are both at school, I can focus on my second passion (Family always being number one) and that’s my art xx
